Hey fabulous folks! I’m back, after surviving my finals.
Thank God I’m finished with my coursework J.
After spending the last week writing over 41 pages of crap on addiction
counseling and advance research, my brain is still a little fried so today I’m
keeping it simple and leaving you with a little tutorial on how I created my
blog header.
Design the header of your dreams. I use
Adobe Photoshop but any design software will work. {You can download a 30 day
trial for free at adobe.com}Save your design as a .PNG, .GIF, or .JPEG file.
Upload your design onto Photobucket or a similar
image hosting site. Copy the direct link for your image.
Go to www.image-maps.com and paste link into URL
field. Click upload image and then continue to next step.
Using the rectangle tool. Add the URL of your
choice. For instance, I linked the word “HOME” in my image to the homepage of
my blog.
After uploading all of your links click get HTML
code.
Copy the entire HTML code. I recommend saving it in
a Word file for later use.
Sign in to the blogger website. Select the Layout Tab, In the header section
select “Add a Gadget”
Select HTML/JavaScript.
Paste your HTML code and click save. Leave the title blank.
DONE!!!!
If you are not able to load your header, you may
need to change the HTML template. This can be done by selecting the TEMPLATE tab. Select the EDIT HTML tab then the PROCEED tab. Look for the header code
(Mac user can use “command + F” to make the search easier):
Change the max widget number to 2 or 3, change
showaddelement to yes, and change locked to false. Then select save.
Remove your old header by going to Layout Tab and selecting header. Click Remove.
Do a little happy dance because you are done my friend :)
P.S.... My Trash to Treasure project was selected to appear on Roadkill Rescue. Be sure to check it out on September 20; 8PM (EST).
