The First 48: iPhone 5

Hey fabulous folks! Guess what I got on Friday…an iPhone 5. I decided to take the leap of faith and updated from my iPhone 4.  I must say I’m in love. Here is my good, bad, and ugly about my iPhone5.

The Good
It is super light.

I was number 11 in line on Friday (got there @ 7ish) and I didn’t have to camp out in front of the store all night. Thank God for little towns. Sadly, there was a couple that slept outside the store. I kind of felt bad for them.

Love the voice navigation on Maps and the rerouting feature.

Verizon gave me $140 trade in credit for my iPhone4 plus I had a $50 credit. You do the math ☺.

The Bad

Okay, so this is bad as in b-a-d-d, bad… Safari is super fast.

And the regular bad… there are a couple of glitches in the Map app.

The UGLY

Now for the UGLY, I don’t like the new cord. It not the cord itself…just the fact I had to buy an extra cord for my car, when I have about 5 of the old ones. Also, this new port doesn’t fit my Bose system. ☹

This is more of a Verizon thing than an Apple thing. Verizon please stop charging us a $30 upgrade fee. It is stupid. You’re already making us sign a two-year contract to upgrade.  Stop being greedy. I have been a customer since 2002, you have already made a tiny fortune off of me.

I found something Siri can’t do…

***UPDATE (10/3/12)***

I used the Map app during my trip to Jacksonville this weekend. For the most part, it worked really well. Except for the time I searched for a Walmart and ended up in the projects. This has been the only glitch I have experienced so far.

Until next time…Stay Fabulous!

  4. That's awesome that you love it!

I was trying to find an email address for you that way I could tell you what products I use but I couldn't figure it out.

I use Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie, Shea Moisture's deep treatment masque, Cantu Shea Nutter leave in conditioner, vatika oil and castor oil.

  6. I understand about your Verizon dilemma. My husband has been a customer for over 15 years - you would think they would have a loyalty reward or something. Nope...no benefits at all for staying with the same company and constantly signing those 2-year contracts. I recently got the new Droid RAZR and I love it. :) You have a great way of sharing, keep it up!

  8. Upgrade fee?! What the heck is that!? Do they realize you could switch entirely to AT&T or something since your contract is up, and they don't charge those fees? How bizarre.

Otherwise, I am SUPER jealous of your iPhone 5!! Congrats :).
